Little International, also known as Little "I," is the largest two-day student-run agricultural expo in the nation. It takes roughly 160 students and months of planning to put on a successful event. Leading it all as general manager is Teigen Hadrick, a senior animal science production management major from Faulkton.

Serving as the "voice of students," Trinity Peterson is the president of the SDSU Students' Association. Students' Association is the student government at SDSU with student senators elected from each of the academic colleges. As president, Peterson's task is to lead the weekly senate meetings and represent student interests on campus, in the community and beyond.

A senior nursing major, Olivia Tagart serves as the president for the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, an organization representing student-athletes from the 19 NCAA Division 1 athletic programs at SDSU.

The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band is a time-honored tradition at South Dakota State University. Abby Connor, a senior agricultural systems technology major, is a co-captain for The Pride's color guard.

Lesly Abarca-Valladares, a senior advertising major in the School of Communication and Journalism at South Dakota State University, has been named one of the nation's most promising multicultural students for 2023 by the American Advertising Federation. Industry leaders have selected 50 of the highest-achieving diverse seniors in the U.S. to participate this spring in AAF's premier industry immersion program in New York City promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.
